How Cabinet Refacing Works

The idea behind cabinet refacing is simple. We’ll put new doors and drawer fronts on your existing cabinet frames.

Here is the step-by-step process:

  • You’ll first meet with a professional designer who will help you choose between the hundreds of styles and finishes that we offer.
  • We’ll measure your kitchen and prepare a detailed design plan for your approval.
  • Our experienced Golden Touch crew will then begin by removing all of the old and worn out doors and drawer fronts.
  • We’ll work on the surface of your cabinets, carefully inspecting the current state of the wood.
  • We’ll strengthen and repair your cabinet frames and then sand down the exposed wood.
  • Next, we’ll apply a new layer of veneer or laminate, with an industrial-strength double-bonding technique.
  • With this setup complete, we add the cabinet doors and drawer fronts that you have custom chosen for your redesigned kitchen.
